‘Bio’

Jan has been working in obstetrics and gynaecology in Hobart since 1989, joining Jamie Brodribb at the initial practice in Hill Street, West Hobart. Prior to that, she had been educated in Hobart and attended medical school also in her home town. Training in O and G was completed in England, as was the tradition at that time, but fortunately there was plenty of off duty time to travel to Kenya, the Seychelles, Egypt, Turkey, France and lots of England.

She worked in O and G part-time whilst 4 children, 5 dogs and the occasional cat were added to the family. Some 10 years ago, she decided to work only in gynaecology and has continued to this day in the ever increasing family at Hobart Obgyn. Her work interests are with colposcopy, menopausal disorders and vulval disease, as well as general gynaecology.

Outside work and the demands of family, Jan is interested in reading crime, gardening, Watching football, Pilates, going to gym and walking with friends and quiet time  having coffee. Shopping and shoes are always a priority.
