Angela Clough

Physiotherapist

Angela Clough moved back to Tasmania in 2020 after working with Jane Barker and colleagues in 2017. She has had an extensive and rich Pelvic Health physiotherapy experience in both the public and private sectors, treating folks of all gender and identity with pelvic health conditions. She has worked closely with teams in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology, Colorectal, Chronic pain, Gastroenterology, Sexual Health and Oncology; and community referrers such as GPs and Nursing practitioners.

Previously Angela was the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Lead for NSW Health ISLHD for the previous 15 years. Over this period, she was involved in research and innovative projects with her primary focus of access and equity and delivering a high-quality evidence-based practice and service within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health district. She witnessed the emergence of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy’s increasingly widening scope of practice and always has enjoyed mentoring junior physiotherapists. She continues to be an active member of the APA Pelvic Health Network.

Angela feels privileged to be working with folk as they share their story and focuses on individualised and sustainable pelvic health management strategies, working closely with a person’s goal and/or circumstances. She believes in using education and story to empower people to make their own informed health choices; and works with all pelvic health conditions. Angela strongly believes that bodies, minds, and spirit have the capacity to recover, heal and flourish.

Angela strongly advocates a multi-disciplinary team approach, so that people receive the optimal care from the most relevant resources and practitioners. She loves learning and sharing opportunities with her peers; and is passionate about sharing her Pelvic Health physiotherapy knowledge within community. She loves working with the HobartOBGYN team, and living back in Tasmania with her family with its outdoor lifestyle.
