  • Dr Stephen Bradford and Dr Peter Reynolds offer robotic-assisted surgical procedures at Calvary Hospital with the da Vinci surgical system. Procedures are offered for concerns which would be treated with laparoscopic surgery including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and excision of endometriosis.

  • A procedure to treat abnormal bleeding by removing a thin layer of tissue, known as the endometrium, that lines the uterus. This procedure is utilised to reduce heavy menstrual bleeding.

  • A procedure to remove a women’s uterus either with or without the ovaries or fallopian tubes. This may be a suitable procedure to treat many benign conditions including heavy periods, pelvic pain, fibroids and prolapse.

  • Two procedures performed together where initially a thin, lighted instrument provides a view of inside your uterus to check for areas that look unusual followed by the removal of tissue from inside your uterus. This procedure is utilised to diagnose or treat abnormal bleeding including heavy menstrual periods or bleeding between periods.

  • A procedure utilised to insert an IUD device into the uterus which is completed as a surgical procedure to ensure it is a more comfortable experience for the patient. This procedure is also offered in our private practice rooms.

  • A minimally invasive procedure which is completed as keyhole surgery. Common laparoscopy procedures relate to infertility, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and removal of the uterus.

  • A procedure utilised to treat and remove abnormalities of the cervix which is often identified through abnormal cervical cells detected in a cervical screening test or colposcopy. LLETZ is an acronym for “Large Loop Excision of the Transformation Zone”.

  • A procedure utilised to insert a piece of surgical tape to support the urethra as a treatment of urinary incontinence.

  • Vaginal prolapse is a common condition where the bladder, uterus or bowel protrude from the vagina. A surgical repair procedure is completed to treat your symptomatic prolapse and prevent it from reoccurring.

  • A procedure to remove benign tumours called fibroids from the muscular wall of the uterus. This procedure is utilised to treat pain or excessive bleeding caused by fibroids.
